Yar’s revenge is a game that I personally played the heck out of back in the day. It came to me at a time when I was getting tired of the same ole’ Pacman and Donkey Kong was getting boring to me. Though great games in their own right for grotesque ports, they served their purpose. But, when I saw the box art for Yar’s Revenge, my little imagination kicked in and I saw a whole new space adventure, I knew I had to experience.
The game was so simple but yet still very addictive, over and over again the same two levels got harder and harder, faster and faster until I lost all of my lives to the ever stalking white line and the randomly shooting star blast ( or as I used to call it the KRULL blade? ).
My friend and Editor In Chief Torrence Davis over at TheBitbag had sent me a Tweet mentioning the Yar’s Revenge Remake and right away I knew I had to share this news with the Old School Junkie community.
