Lost INTROs Featuring Syphon Filter 2 On The Playstation

Hello fellow retro gamers, looks like it’s time for another new Vidcast episode of Lost INTROs. In today’s episode we take a long look at this engrossing beginning cinematic from the classic Playstation title Syphon Filter 2.

“What we really love about the cinematics of the past is the simple fact that most (not all) of the games used actual game engine to bring the story alive. We miss the good ole days when not every game had to use special CG graphics to pull the player into the games story.”

On that note let’s take a ride down memory lane and enjoy the low polygon but still very captivating intro cinematic from Syphon Filter 2.

I guess this kind of intro and story telling is the reason why I like well made agent thriller series like Alias so much today. The way how the camera moves, how the dialogs kick in and the cheesy but cool character movements make it pretty good. This manor continues it’s way through the entire game. All the scenarios and action sequences during gameplay are well made too, I still would play and enjoy it as much as I did back then.
